Four journal rules we keep on the classroom wall
Mark location before pattern. If the swing map is missing, the pattern name is not accepted.
Write the invalidation on the same page as the idea. A setup without a cancel line is a sketch.
Name the family: reversal, continuation, or failed-break. If you cannot name it, you are not ready to size it — and in this school you are not asked to size it anyway.
Date the page. Memory edits charts. Ink does not.
These rules apply to group clinics and to private hours. They are also why we do not offer a signal desk: a signal has no student journal attached to it.
