How we treat a neckline retest in the Gori room
A neckline that has not been tested after the break is unfinished work. In class we do not treat the first close through the line as the whole story. We wait, on the page, for price to come back and show whether the line has changed role.
If the retest holds, students may name the setup a completed reversal structure. If the retest fails and price recaptures the old side, we name it a failed break and we stop talking about the head-and-shoulders as if it were still live.
This is slower than social-media markup. It is also how we keep the clinic from becoming a gallery of pretty drawings that never had to survive a return visit.
Bring a ruler. The projector is kind to messy lines; the printed pack is not.
